Glendora FOOTBALL CLUB a professional
youth soccer program. Instruction from a
full time,
professional coach who will monitor their progress on a daily,
monthly, and yearly basis. Play on a private field cost is approximately $1,200.00 per year.

Mr.
Henderson said the Club Soccer League uses Sunflower School as its home
field and they have 232 soccer
players and approximately
40% of those
players are non- Glendora residents. Some math: Cost about $1,200.00
year per player. 232 players times
$1,200.00 comes out to about $278.400.00.
Private Sports Leagues Tear Up
School Fields --
Why Should Taxpayers Pay.
Why are these private operations given a free ride at taxpayer
expense? Our responsibility as a taxpayers, is to help pay for public
education, not private sports leagues.
Who is
paying for the maintenance of Sunflower Sports Park that a private club
is using exclusively.
Glendora or the
School District?
Glendora Youth Soccer 2004
Fees: $90.00 for first child, $75.00 for second child and $60.00 for each
additional child per family. The Glendora Youth Soccer program has
1,800 boys and
girls participating according to Mr, Henderson. Some math, using an
average of $75.00 per player. 1,800 times $75.00 comes out to $135,000.00.
Does anything come back to the city for
maintenance?
Interesting Note: in 2003 registration was $70.00 what caused it to increase
by $20.00 in a single year

Noise is
Pollution
"Excessive noise affects us all. It creates a heightened level of
anxiety, distress, and an unfriendly environment throughout our

CARDIFF BY
THE SEA, CA
--
Last Saturday was particularly bad. It was truly a Saturday from hell.
It was a three day weekend and the beginning of a new
soccer program .
One irate person
in an oversized SUV knocked over three of the trash cans with green
waste and spilled the contents all over the street.

SAN
JUAN CAPISTRANO CA -- Youth soccer officials got tough with unruly adults after a
violent brawl during an under 14 tournament.
The American Youth Soccer
Organization (AYSO) banned one parent and two soccer coaches for life
and disbanded two boys soccer teams following the worst brawl in its
35-year history. About 30 adults were involved in a post-match
melee in the southern California town of San Juan Capistrano last
month after a tournament game between the Palmdale Eagles and the
Chino Chiefs. Three adults were arrested, one parent
needed treatment for a bite, another suffered cuts and a swollen eye and
others reported being hit on the head with umbrellas and being
threatened by a man swinging a metal rod. The cause of the melee
after the San Juan Capistrano game was unclear but reports from the
sheriff's department at the time said violence broke out after an
assistant coach for the winning Chino team allegedly tried to pick a
fight with a Palmdale player.
